2023 Realizing the Promise of Personalized Medicine. APS Summit 2023-GC1

This game changer session will explore that promise of personalized medicine and the challenges that also come with it. Precision medicine is defined as medical care that is designed to optimize the efficiency or therapeutic benefit for a particular group of patients, often using genetic or molecular profiling. Resulting in the targeting of the right treatments to the right patient at the right time.  “Big data” has been used to describe the astronomical volume and variety of data that has become a reality in current times. One of the ways that precision medicine can/will become a reality will require the ability to analyze and interpret that “data”.   Experts in the field will discuss their experiences with the audience, the good, bad and the ugly.  Moreover, the subsequent conversation with the speakers will allow the audience and speakers to spark further conversation regarding this topic.
