Partnership For Undergraduate Life Science Education (PULSE), Assessment Rubric V2.0
This Assessment Rubric includes 16 criteria and addresses the degree to which programs have developed and employed curricular and course learning goals/objectives for students and have developed and used assessments that are aligned with the learning outcomes desired for students at both the course and whole curriculum level. There are two major rating categories, A: Course-Level Assessment and B: Program-Level Assessment. The majority of criteria included in this rubric are broadly applicable to other STEM disciplines.
Partnership For Undergraduate Life Science Education (PULSE), Curriculum Alignment Rubric V2.0
This Curriculum Rubric includes 11 criteria and considers the degree to which the curriculum in a life science program addresses the core concepts for biological literacy, core competencies, and disciplinary practices outlined in Vision and Change. This rubric has rating criteria for each core concept and core competency, providing programs the opportunity to evaluate the integration of these ideas and skills into their curriculum. Most of the core concept criteria are specific to life science education, although many of the competencies are applicable to other STEM fields.
